What are the varieties of hemp?

All cannabis plants are grouped under the scientific term Cannabis Sativa L.. In practice, however, a distinction is made between the two varieties Cannabis Indica L. and Cannabis Sativa L.. These differ greatly in growth pattern, flower shape, but also within the spectrum of effects.

Cannabis indica L.

As the name suggests, Indica cannabis originates mainly from Central Asia and the Indian subcontinent and is strongly represented in the countries of India, Pakistan, Tibet, Nepal and Afghanistan. Indica CBD flowers are dense and heavy and have a particularly intense scent.

Cannabis Sativa L.
