The company Alpenrauch was founded in 2019 by Alexander Hribar with the aim of offering high-quality shishas at an attractive price. The value of the water pipes is underlined at Alpenrauch, among other things, with the high weight of the glass bowl (example model Everest). The entire shisha comes with a high total weight of over 3 kilograms. Alpenrauch sees itself as a small think tank with a lot of passion, creativity and attention to detail and would like to offer a good and affordable alternative to the products of the large hookah manufacturers.
The name Alpenrauch connects the Austrian homeland of the founders with the current hookah trend. After all, shisha smoking is now almost as popular in the European Alpine countries as it is in Arab culture.
The goal of Alpenrauch is and always has been to offer a high-quality hookah at a fair price in a simple and timeless design. The price segment targeted by Alpenrauch is the good middle class.
Alpenrauch company started in 2019 with glass mouthpieces and then quickly expanded production to include hookahs expanded. Many products are planned for the future and will be released in aluminum, stainless steel and plastic. HMD's (heat management devices) and tobacco heads will soon be added to the range. Ideas are plentiful, but the complex development and production process often brings great challenges that cannot always be mastered.
Where are the alpine smoke shishas produced?
Since the production costs in Austria would have massively increased the selling price of Alpenrauch shishas, part of the production was moved to China. This ensures that the hookahs can be offered to the end consumer at an attractive price. The production of glass bowls in particular is practically impossible in Austria, as suppliers with the relevant know-how are lacking on the market. In Europe, one would have to switch to the crystal glass sector in the Czech Republic.
